The Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILCP) in Camp Hill, Pa. and the Three Rivers Center for Independent living (TRCIL) in Pittsburgh, offer fully-accessible fitness centers for people with disabilities. Both fitness centers provide people with disabilities the opportunity to use specialized fitness equipment designed specifically for persons with disabilities to exercise and strengthen their bodies, and ultimately live a healthier life.

The Center for Independent Living of Central PA’s Living Well With A Disability Fitness Center offers many types of specialized equipment including:
MOTOmed®
To join CILCP’s Living Well Fitness Center, call the Living Well hotline
at 1-877-TO-LIV-WELL (Voice/TTY), and a Living Well specialist will conduct
a free lifestyle assessment. Following the assessment, information will be
sent to the certified personal trainer, and consent and liability forms will
be completed before receiving a membership card. Anyone with a disability
that is a user of CILCP services and can direct their own fitness routines
has access to the fitness center at no cost; however, one-on-one sessions
with a trainer are also available for a nominal fee. This fee may be waived
or the consumer may qualify for state funded assistance.

Three Rivers Center for Independent Living (TRCIL) also provides similar equipment for people with all types of disabilities.
TRCIL’s Living Well With A Disability Fitness Center is available to people with disabilities for free. Before using the equipment, each person must fill out a questionnaire about their disability, and must have permission from their doctor to use the equipment.
